Reinhold Glier Kyiv Institute of Music is the oldest music institution in Ukraine, established in the late 19th century. Mr. Kuzin was appointed to build two existing student orchestras into the best young musicians ensembles in Ukraine. Duties included:

  • Planning, overseeing and conducting the two most advanced Institute orchestras - symphony and chamber
  • Performing the orchestras 2-3 annual concerts at the National Philharmonic Hall of Ukraine
  • Teaching graduate and undergraduate level conducting; teaching graduate level score reading and orchestra work methodology
  • Membership in the Institute’s Artistic Board

Appointed to build the Opera Preparation Department’s program and elevate its status among music education institutions in Ukraine. Duties included:

Professional opera theatre that serves as a teaching and performance environment for the Academy’s graduate and post-graduate Opera and Stage Director Department students. Duties included:

  • Music direction of new productions of graduating stage director faculty students
  • Production of 3 premiere, fully-staged one-act opera productions
  • Preparation, rehearsal and conducting of operas from current theatres’ repertoire

Krivoy Rog is a regional Ukrainian city of approx. 1 million; the theatre celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2008. Duties included:
