Looking ahead

I look forward to teaching in a school that exemplifies a positive and respectful student environment. Within that atmosphere I hope to offer a safe and supportive classroom that encourages children to be creatively inspired, to confidently grow, to always do their best, and most of all, to believe in themselves, reaching for the seemingly unreachable. I believe I can make a powerful difference in my own small way.

Looking back

Born and raised in Connecticut, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow from many different life experiences. I spent the summers as a child growing up in Newport, New Hampshire, living in our family home there and participating in the Richard's Library summer reading club program, the Newport Recreation Day Camp, and the Vacation Bible School program at the Baptist Church. At 16 I traveled with a youth chorale group to Europe, singing in famous places such as Westminster Abbey in London and Sacrè-Coeur in Paris.

I have attended college as a music major, been a part of the workforce, and also been a member of the U.S. ARMY. After seven years of volunteering as a teacher and director of my church's Sunday School program, I decided to become a teacher. I paid my own way through school while working part-time and graduated Long Island University with a 3.97 GPA. Presently living in Claremont, I am now seeking to earn my graduate degree in education at New England College.
