Announcing the Gala 2006 Long Island Mozart Festival - Labor Day weekend, September 1,2 3 and 4 on the grounds of the magnificent Chelsea Mansion, located off Route 25A in East Norwich - Exit 41 of LIE N on Route 106 to Route 25A west. Celebrate Mozart's 250 Birthday and hear his timeless music performed by world-class soloists under the stars, on the lawn and under the festival tent. Spectacular violinist Anna Rabinova of the New York Philharmonic, internationally renowned pianist Tatiana Goncharova and the superb Orchestre de Chambre Francais of Paris will come together to present Mozart's Violin Concertos No. 3 and 4, Piano Concertos No. 13 and 14 Eine Kleine Nacht Muzik and many other of his masterworks, along with music of Grieg, Elgar and others. Concerts on Friday, September 1 at 7 PM, Saturday, September 2 at 3 PM, Sunday, September 3at 3 PM and Sunday, September 4 at 3 PM. The Festival will also feature live historical characters, carriage rides, gourmet food by the De Seversky Center, wines from Post Liquors, artisan crafters, activities for kids and free parking.
