Autumn in New York - A Major Concert of Beth Anderson's Music - Mark your calendars!
November 19, 2003 will bring a major New York City all-Beth Anderson concert at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. The Rubio String Quartet from Belgium will perform a series of Ms. Anderson's quartets and Joseph Kubera will be the soloist in her Piano Concerto for string orchestra with percussion and piano. Andrew Bolotowsky will be the flutist in New Mexico Swale for strings, percussion and flute. Gary Schneider will conduct. The Angel for soprano (Jessica Marsten), harp, celeste, 2 violins, viola and cello (words by Hans Christian Andersen) will also be presented.

January 18, 2003 the Owensboro Symphony conducted by Nick Palmer performed Kentucky Swale on their Masterworks Concert at the beautiful RiverPark Center in Owensboro, Kentucky. The program also included music by Shostakovich, Dag Wiren and Mozart.
January 24, 2003 La Gioia, the vocal ensemble, performed a new arrangement
for SSSAAT of Precious Memories in Brussels, Belgium with Ludwig Van Güsegem conducting.
March 29, 2003 John Gordon Ross conducted Revel with the Western Piedmont Symphony in Hickory, North Carolina.
April 11, 2003 Artis Wodehouse performed Net Work at the Fine Arts Faculty Exhibition at The Skylight Gallery, Elizabeth Seton Library, College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY.
April 10, 2003 The Rubio String Quartet performed March Swale at the "6th
totally huge new music festival" at 8 PM in Perth Concert Hall in Perth, Australia. Visit them at http://www.tura.com.au.
April 26, 2003 Marlow Fisher and Kathy McIntosh premiered April Swale for viola and harpsichord at the Tenri Cultural Institute in New York City.
April 27, 2003 Dr. Blood's Mermaid Lullaby for flute and piano was included on the Composer's Voice Concert Romancing the Stars at A.R.T./New York's South Oxford Space in Brooklyn, New York.
Also on April 27, 2003 Dr. Michael Luxner conducted Kentucky Swale with the Millikin University String Arts Ensemble in Decatur, Illinois.
Three Swales is scheduled for performance again in the 2002-2003 season of the Etowah Youth Symphony Honor Strings conducted by Michael R. Gagliardo in Gadsden, Alabama.
May 13, 2003 New York Women Composers Inc. presented violinist Ana Milosavljevic in a concert of members' works including four of Beth Anderson's violin and piano pieces in New York City.
May 17 2003 at 6 p.m. in the 17th century, San Francisco de Paula Church Marlow Fisher and Kathy McIntosh performed April Swale in Havana, Cuba.
Early June 2003 the Armenian ensemble AUS which includes Artur Avanesov (piano) Aram Hovhannesyan(flute) Artem Manukyan(cello) will perform Trio: dream in 'd' at the Armenian Composers Union in Yerevan, Armenia.
September 20, 2003 California's Redwood Symphony, conducted by George Yefchak in California will perform Minnesota Swale on the opening concert of their 2003-2004 season, along with Varese, Ravel, Zappa, and Mozart.

New World Records is recording an all-Beth Anderson CD of her chamber music - to be released in 2004, with the support of The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Thomas Buckner and others.
"Butch" Baldassari who teaches at Vanderbilt is recording September Swale (mandolin and guitar) for his new CD in November 2003.
Flutist Nina Assimakopoulos will record Comment for a collection of works for flute by contemporary American women composers. Each piece has a literary reference and Anderson's is a poem by Dorothy Parker. Scheduled for release in Winter 2004.
