Important Upcoming Chamber Performances and Recordings of Her Music Performances
December 1, 2004 - Francoise Vanhecke will perform "Kilkenny Cats" (text: Edward Penfield), "The Tyger" (text: William Blake) and "She Sights A Bird" (text: Emily Dickinson) selected from the cycle "Cat Songs", along with songs by many other women composers at the prestigeous 'Festival van Vlaanderen' in Belgium. January 30, 2005 - Ana Milosavljevic will perform Tales #1-2, Dr. Bloods Mermaid Lullaby and Belgian Tango on her concert of new violin music at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall at 57th Street and 7th Avenue in New York at 5:30 PM. The program will include the music of John Adams, Margaret Fairlie-Kennedy, Aleksandra Vrebalov and others. She will be accompanied by Christopher Oldfather and Terezija Cukrov. September, 2005 Š Beth AndersonÕs new Dark Songs for mezzo-soprano, contralto, and piano with words by Dana Gioia and David Mason will be recorded by Marcellina and Gesine van der Grinten March 20-24, 2005 and the CD release party and concerts will be in September 2005 in Kleve, Germany and in Cologne. The van der Grintens commissioned the work. Recordings An all-Beth Anderson song and chamber music CD entitled Quilt Music from Albany Music is due out December 2004. Dr. Melanie Mitrano is going to sing Lullaby (words by Auden) and Beauty Runs Faster (words by the composer) on her new CD to be released in 2005. Comment for flute solo will be on a Europa CD performed by Nina Assimakopoulos to be released in 2005.
