Save These Dates - CPI's Extraordinary 2004-2005 Season Events

After enjoying our extraordinary October 23 Halloween Gala and performance by the Orchestre de Chambre Francais, we know you'll want to plan to join us for a series of wonderful champagne brunches and great music at the De Seversky Center of the New York Institute of Technology, Northern Blvd in Old Westbury during our 2004-2005 season. You'll enjoy world-class performers in a beautiful, intimate ambience. Please note that all programs are Sundays at noon.

October 24, 2004
Orchestre de Chambre Francais: Fifteen piece chamber orchestra: Great works from the Baroque and Romantic Period performed by this world-class ensemble. They will also be performing CPI-sponsored concerts at the Friends Academy in Locust Valley on October 20 and at the beautiful Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock in Manhasset on October 22 as part of their New York concert tour.

November 7, 2004
Mark Peskanov, violin soloist: Avery Fisher Award winner performs two Mozart Serenades along with Concerti for violin and small orchestra. This program will also be given at Molloy College on November 6

March 6, 2005
Gershwin Revisited: newly discovered works plus some favorites: Joshua Pierce, pianist, is the featured soloist.

April 3, 2005
Tango Concert and other spirited South American works: Mirian Conti, pianist and featured soloist.

May 1, 2005
Russian romantic works featuring the Lumina Quartet including Rachmaninoff's recently discovered quartet gem.

June 11, 2005
Special Walt Whitman event and concert in collaboration with the Walt Whitman Museum: celebrates 150th anniversary of "Leaves of Grass" - at the Huntington Hilton, site of the Whitman Bar.
