Beth Anderson In The Concert Hall - Upcoming Fall 2005 Performances
On October 28, 2005 Beth Anderson will be performing a 30-minute set of text-sound at a festival in Geneva Switzerland, Roaratorio (http://www.roaratorio.ch/). She has created a new piece for the occasion, Kildeer And Chicory, and will be performing Torero Piece with Vincent Barras who will not be doing his part of the duet in English. A percussionist will be added for many of the pieces (Country Time, Yes Sir Ree, Ocean Motion, I Can't Stand It) and Riot Rot will be performed for the third time since it was written about 25 years ago.
On November 16th, 2005 the Jade String Trio will perform the new Jasmine Swale at the Underground Lounge, 107th Street and West End Avenue, in Manhattan
On November 18th, 2005 the Jade String Trio will give the official premiere of Beth's new Jasmine Swale at St. Joseph's College Council for the Arts concert series. The concert will be at 8:00 PM and will be given at D'Eccleslle Auditorium, Saint Joseph's College, 155 W. Roe Blvd, Patchogue, New York. The phone number for information is 631-447-3200. On November 20th, 2005, the soprano Francoise Vanhecke will premiere the newly commissioned Nightsong with words by David Mason for soprano, viola and piano in Brussels, Belgium on a concert of new consonant music at the Chapelle de Boendael, Public Garden of the Old Lime in Brussels. December 3 will bring a performance of Beth's Swimmers on the Shore for baritone and piano as part of a concert by the Opera Company of Astoria at Flushing Library in Queens, New York.

On March 1, 2006 Beth's August Swale will be performed by the Quintet of the Americas (http://www.quintet.org/) on the Women's Work series at Greenwich House Arts, 45 Barrow Street in Manhattan. On March 7, 2006 Cat Songs for baritone and piano and Pennyroyal Swale for string quartet will be performed in Poland at the Lipinski University of Music in Wroclaw (http://www.amuz.wroc.pl/main_e.html) and Beth will be there to teach composition seminars. There will also be performances and seminars in Poznan March 8 to 11.
On March 29, 2006 Winter Solstice will be premiered by the Silsbee Project (soprano, Penney Kimbell, mezzo soprano, Cynthia Mellon, piano, Sarah Meneely-Kyder and friends) on the Women's Work series at 8 PM at Greenwich House Arts, 45 Barrow Street in Manhattan. Also on the program are the poetry and music of Ann Silsbee and music by Binnette Lipper, Elizabeth Alexander, Joyce Ellin Orenstein, Jennifer Griffith, Julie Mandel, Mary Ann Joyce, and Margaret Kennedy.

April 24, 2006 Artis Wodehouse (http://www.keyboardwizards.com/) will perform Beth's 25-minute Quilt Music for solo piano at Merkin Hall (67th Street/Broadway) in New York City with quilting art by Ellen Kochansky. The 8 PM concert will also include the music of Anthony Heinrich, an 18th century Kentucky composer, Arthur Bird's music for harmonium and rare Duke Ellington transcriptions.

Quilt Music on Albany Records (TROY709): This is an all-Beth Anderson CD including the large piano piece, Quilt Music, performed by Joseph Kubera along with three song cycles (Cat Songs, Dreaming Fields, and Harlem Songs) performed by baritone Keith Borden with pianist Johannes Wallmann, and four violin and piano pieces (Belgian Tango, Dr. Blood's Mermaid Lullaby, and Tales #1-2) performed by violinist Ana Milosavljevic, with pianist Terezija Cukrov. There is also a new swale - Cleveland Swale performed by Darren Campbell & Kirsty Matheson, string bass, and Johannes Wallmann, piano.
