Meet Ines Thiebaut
 

Born in Madrid, Spain, Ines Thiebaut has taken various steps in different directions until she made composing music her final goal. With a Baccalaureate Degree in Humanities and Social Science and after four years of Law studies in the Autonoma Univestity of Madrid, she also studied music since a very early age, graduating with a Professional Diploma in Theory and Music Education from the Professional Conservatory of Music, in Madrid. She moved to Boston in 2003 and got her BA degree in Composition and Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music with Suma Cum Laude.

Her first steps towards a music career start at Interlochen Arts Camp, where she spends 6 summers of her youth, involved in various music activities, including her firsts compositions and performances. Her last summer at Interlochen, at age 17, the World Youth Symphony Orchestra premiered her first symphonic piece.

Even though her high interest in Classical music, she studies Alto Sax during 10 years with Javier Iturralde and performs in a large variety of bands, including a small jazz quartet. She is also a frequent collaborator for the pop-rock band r4dio (Madrid) as a keyboard player and arranger.

During the course of her life, she has study composition with Fabian Panisello, Vuk Kulenovic, Denis Leclaire and John Bavicchi. Ines currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, were she is assisting various artist and musicians. She is planning to attend graduate school in the Fall 2007.
